Celebrate Rosh Hashanah with the Shofar So Good

This year, Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) will begin the evening of October 2nd, and end the evening of October 4th. There are a number of symbolic foods associated with the holiday, a few of which are incorporated in this inspired cocktail. Apples dipped in honey are a common delicacy at traditional Rosh Hashanah celebrations, signifying wishes for a sweet new year. Our creation, the Shofar So Good, is just one more sweet way to celebrate!

Shofar 1

Shofar So Good

2 oz KOVAL Bourbon infused with dates and apples

1/2 oz KOVAL Chrysanthemum & Honey liqueur

1/4 oz grenadine or pomegranate liqueur

3/4 oz lemon juice

We infused our bourbon by pouring it in a large container over apple slices and chopped dates, and leaving it to soak up the flavor for about a week. However, the infusion time can be shortened or lengthened depending on desired taste.

Shake vigorously and strain into a cocktail glass, and add a thin slice apple slice to garnish.
